Atmospheric Science

The Atmospheric Science faculty seeks to provide a high quality educational experience for students majoring in atmospheric science in preparation for industrial or government positions, and for graduate study. The program is also designed for those planning to teach environmental science or physics at the 8-12 level, or who need atmospheric science knowledge and skills relevant to future studies in the sciences.

The student who wishes to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Atmospheric Science may do so by following one of the two curriculum plans referred to as concentrations:

Graduate Courses
Graduate courses in atmospheric science are offered in support of graduate degree programs in Environmental Science, Coastal and Marine System Science and education. Details concerning these particular degree programs can be found in the online course catalog.
